About The Photographer
I’ve been taking pictures since I got a Kodak Instamatic 110 camera in grade school. Today, I work in black & white and color with large format film cameras.
Black & white photography provides the freedom to explore compositions using the elements of light and shadow, line and form, tone and texture without the overwhelming cacophony of color.
It’s truly liberating.

About The Equipment
All the photographs on this web site except this page were made with large format cameras. I’m currently using a Shen Hao PTB 4x5 and a Canham 8x10. Lens focal lengths range from 55mm to 600mm. For black & white photography I like Ilford film developed in Ilford chemistry.
